Cape Girardeau County: Ameren Lutesville to Heritage transmission project

Ameren, a Missouri electirc utility company, is moving forward to build a new 345,000-volt transmission line in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri between the existing Lutesville substation located off State Highway U and the new Heritage substation that will be located off State Highway K west of the City of Cape Girardeau.

The new route consists of approximately 14 miles of new 345,000-volt and 161,000-volt electric transmission lines. The plans are currently to use wood H-frame structures on newly acquired 150- and 100-foot-wide right-of-way.
